Thank You Card
The goal of this project was to create a thank you card that acts as a leave-behind after interviews. The card is supposed to be personal and interesting enough for it to become a conversation starter. Before I started my thumbnails I wrote out some interesting ways to say thank you and used them in my designs.
Thumbnails
I chose thumbnail number 19 to base my digital design on. Although I enjoyed the designs that came from the phrase "Sending you a mountain of thanks", I was drawn to the phrase "my warmest thanks" because I am from Arizona which is known for its warm weather. This was the perfect way for me to add personal details while possibly starting a conversation with an untraditional way of using the phrase.
Next, I created the artwork for the cover page of the card.
Digital Design
This design is inspired by the Arizona desert. I used lines to create dimension and texture. After I created this design in Illustrator I used InDesign to create the rest of the card.
Digital Card
When I had finished with the full card design I printed it out, trimmed it using the bleed lines, and folded it into a card.
